We think beige has got a bad reputation – but not for much longer…
Of the entire colour palette, beige has probably been the most overlooked when it comes to women’s fashion. Far from being “boring” and “drab”, it’s finally being recognised as a colour that can ignite your spring / summer wardrobe. And according to a recent report on the Offaly Express website, this is exactly what’s happening – right now!
Fashion and lifestyle blogger Arlene Costello has contributed the article: Arlene is instantly recognisable as the driving force behind The Style Flamingos.
A monochromatic colour scheme is described as being potentially “classic” and “elegant” and beige is the new flagship colour.
“The ’50 shades of beige’ trend is huge for Spring/Summer 2019 fashion and includes lots of soft muted colours including white, cream, taupe and caramel tones.”
We also think that beige and black is a winning combination!
Costello points to designers such as Burberry and Chloe which are both showcasing the colour currently on catwalks.
“Neutral tones and basic items are the best things to start building a capsule wardrobe” says the article.
