Fringe benefits – but don’t overdo them!

Fringing is getting more popular with the over forties

Fringing is becoming more popular – and more sophisticated – of late, according to a recent article on the 40 Plus Style website.

The report by Sylvia starts off with one of our favourite fashion related quotes, from Oscar de la Renta, who is reported as saying

“Fashion is about dressing according to what’s fashionable. Style is about being yourself.”

We couldn’t agree more…

This is perhaps one reason why a coming trend is surfacing – that of the aforementioned fringing. This “hippie staple” from years gone by is a trend that can look great, but you need to tread carefully warns Sylvia.

In other words, don’t overdo it. No we mean it – don’t. But done with care it can look fabulous. “A little bit of fringing can go a long way” says the article. Fringing on a feature garment can look wonderful, or even on your accessories (but not both).
