Matching the right tops, trousers, gilets or jackets can make such a difference!
Quite often, rather than opting for a them colour for an outfit, it’s work considering putting two colours together. Some combinations clearly don’t work, but we’re of course only interested in the ones that do. Which is why we like this article on The Trend Spotter website so much!
Just take a look at the two garments at the top of the page photo and you’ll an idea of what author Vanessa Nakhl is referring to. Yellow and green is a great combo to start with – the gilet over the yellow top are a winning combination!
Some of Vanessa’s other nine colour marriages work equally well.
We particularly like:-
- Pale blue and pink (very classy)
- Red and blue (very easy with jeans of course)
- Orange and black – if you want to really stand out
- Pink and grey – elegant and perfectly understated.
“Pink and grey is a great look which you can utilise all year-round with some versatile pieces. There are no limitations with the way that you can use this clothing colour combination.”
